Our 6th Grade Jamboree is Tuesday night, March 26th, from 5-7pm. Hopefully you can come and learn about your Elective choices for next year. To find out more information about each class, click on the links to the left for the classes you are interested in.

2013 Rio Norte Discount Card is now for sale!!

Our cards have finally arrived and they were worth the wait!  They sell for $10 each. There are 24 wonderful businesses that have agreed to be on our card this year with exclusive discounts for Rio Norte families. These cards are good until December 31, 2013 and can be used over and over again. All proceeds benefit the Electives classes here at Rio! You may purchase cards from any student in the music, foods, technology, art and teen issues classes or from Mrs. Tucker at the ASB window. If you buy two cards, you get one FREE! Help us earn new technology by donating some of your old...

Rio Norte's Elective Department is sponsoring a CD and DVD donation drive. We are collecting your old CD's and DVD's that are in their original cases with complete front and back cover art (dusty and broken cases are ok). The CD's and DVD's should not have visible scratches.

All genres of music are accepted including classical, opera, jazz and the spoken word. Older CD's from the 80's and 90's are also welcome.

DVD's are accepted, including those in boxed sets.

Take a moment and go through your old, dusty CD's and if you would like to donate them to Rio Norte's Elective Department, just send them to school with your student and they can turn them into their Elective teacher.That's it! We will take it from there!

Discount Price on our Discount Card!

Our current 2012 Rio Norte Discount Card is now half price. The card is now only $5 and has 24 local businesses with great discounts! The cards are good until December 31, 2012, so if you are interested in purchasing a 2012 card see Patty Tucker at the ASB window or Mrs. Moore in room C-3.

Our new 2013 Rio Norte Discount Card should be available in late November.

Discount Cards are still for sale!

Students began selling the cards last November, and we do still have cards available. So if you didn't buy your discount card yet, you still can. Visit Patty Tucker, at the ASB window. The cards are $10 a piece, and if you buy two cards you get one FREE!! There are over 20 businesses on the card and the discounts can be used over and over again until 12/31/12!! Proceeds benefit the Electives Department, so make sure you get your card soon, so you can start getting those discounts at the places you probably visit often anyway!

Cash or checks payable to Rio Norte ASB are accepted.

Electives Department is getting ready for 2012 Discount Card Fundraiser!

Do you own or manage a local business? Want to bring in more business and help Rio Norte students? The Electives Department is working on next year's (2012)Rio Family Discount Card with great discounts to local businesses. Cards featuring your logo, address, and a discount of your choosing will be sold to hundreds of Santa Clarita families.
